Hi, I'm Jason — my students call me Hai Ge (海哥). I'm a seasoned boat owner and hands-on boating instructor based in Southern California, and I teach entirely in Chinese. Whether you're a complete beginner or you've bought a boat and still haven't dared to back it down the ramp, you're in the right place.

大家好，我是 Jason，學生都叫我海哥。我是南加州的資深船主，也是一名以中文教學為主的船艇教練。無論你是從來沒碰過船的新手，還是已經買了船卻不知如何倒車下水，我都能帶你一步一步上手。

Many new boat owners aren't afraid of the ocean — they're afraid of the first steps. Towing a boat on the highway, backing a trailer into a ramp, launching without mishap, docking confidently, and understanding California boating regulations. That's exactly what I teach: real skills, real boat, real water.

Do I need a boating license in California?

在加州開船需要駕照嗎？

California requires a Boater Card for anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 who operates a motorized vessel. Requirements expand each year. We help you prepare and pass the exam.

加州規定1988年後出生、駕駛機動船隻的人須持有Boater Card。此規定逐年擴大，我們提供考試輔導讓你順利取證。

Can complete beginners join?

零基礎新手可以參加嗎？

Absolutely. Most of our students have never been on a boat before. We start from the very beginning at a comfortable pace.

Do you teach in Chinese?

Yes — that's our specialty. All instruction is in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese welcome) so you never struggle with language barriers.

Do I need to own a boat?

我需要有自己的船才能上課嗎？

No. Lessons can be on our boat. If you own a boat, we can train you on your own vessel at your location.

Can you help with launching and docking practice specifically?

Yes! These are our most-requested skills. We offer focused sessions on both the ramp and docking for students who need targeted practice.
